How does it work?

We all want to make money, live a good life, and aspire to a better future. Climate change to taking this away from us.
When it gets too hot to work in India, because they make most of our medicines, the price of medicines go up, and our health budgets are effectively cut. When increasing typhoons and storms close ports and roads, things no longer appear on our shelves. Even if you have money, they will not be available.
This is the reality we face, and no matter where we are or whoever we are, we need the mental headroom to deal with it.

Climate change means there is only so much time to fix things. Not using oil, gas, and coal means there is only so much energy to do it. Just like having to clean up a house when we have limited time and not enough energy, we cannot do it all. We have to make some choices.

Businesses are each pushing hard for their own sustainability credentials. Unfortunately, this driving up the demand for more oil, gas, and coal and accelerating climate change. It is a sure recipe to bankrupt ourselves because it is shortening the time we have, driving up shortages, and creating inflation.

When we walk to the shops to reduce our carbon footprint, our savings are lost in a growing pool of anonymous demand for more oil, gas, and coal. Whatever we save is used by someone else. This makes us powerless and feel nothing we do matters.
