Lazy Sunday Afternoons is about the fortitude to hold on to the things that give us joy
When living gets difficult, the things which are not important have been cut out already, and we risk becoming miserable because we have no choices left.
That is why it is important we prepare for climate change for ourselves, by reflecting on our fears, aspirations, and most of all, the things that give us joy.
Lazy Sunday Afternoons is taking time out to do this, and it does not have to be on a Sunday afternoon. We should not do this alone, but invite a friend along, and have the friend bring a friend along too.
Sharing is caring
Share your stories of when when you first became aware of how climate change was affecting their lives, that light bulb moment when your realised something had to change.
Share a recording of your conversations, or a video of the things which give you joy.
We all need stories to help us see that we can have control of our destinies. By sharing, we create a network that supports each other.
One comment we found in our research is worth repeating. Matthew Kiernan, a veteran of ESG investments who authored a book on the subject in 2007, raised a question: “What’s wrong with leaving some money on the table and avoid doing what may clearly be the wrong thing?”
